Quick question with shorting the stock, shorters need to buy the shares they borrowed or sold. This part of trading still confuses me a lot.With more than 705 millions shares shorted, does that mean they have to cover these shares by buying and returning to the owner.

In good case for shorters, if the prices goes down they will cover it at lower price. But how they are going to cover it if none of us shareholders sell any of their shares. Even with some panic selling, aren't 705 million shares too much to cover. Or, since they had been dumping since 35+ cents, they have reasonable margin to buy at some higher value if needed.

The way these shorter are working, I still can't figure out if they are super confident or looking bit desperate. Added some yesterday and day before at 22.5 and 23.5. Finger crossed.
