On 17th July 2020, the presentation by Brett Lynch at Noosa Mining Conference shows that:
- NAL in 2018 produced ~114 000 t of spodumene against a nameplate capacity of 180 000 t, and that
- Spodumene production halted [at NAL] in February 2019 amid operational issues
I’m continually reading but missing a few important pieces of information, that I'm sure someone here already has covered somewhere in the threads, but I have been unable to locate. Can anyone help?
- How/why the nameplate capacity increased from the previous 180,000 t up to 220,000 t? Is this part of the 'significant operational upgrades'?
- While there will be 'significant operation upgrades', do we anticipate that all 2018/2019 operational issues will have been resolved?
- What is the anticipated ‘capacity factor’ for the plant from commissioning. Can they hit or exceed 80%? Does anyone have an idea of the anticipated month-by-month ramp up of capacity factor through to the fully commissioned plant from Q1 2023 (i.e. the road to full production)?
