I have been looking at the Chinese EV market as this is the reason for analysts giving the Li market a negative atm.
Moneyball twitter is a good place to start and to keep track on all Chinese EV sales and related products.
So far November looks OK.
October sales YOY was up 6%.
Sept sales YOY up over 30%.
This difference is the reason in the 2 months is the given for a negative outlook for the near future.
Tesla have lowered their price, BYD is bucking the trend and the expectation that these 2 companies will pickup the slack.
The Chinese EV makers of the bubble cars are finding new markets in Asia including Japan.
From reading EV buses increased more in October.
I haven't looked at ESS as grid management is a priority for the next 5 years.
Looking at the Chinese market EV penetration in the large cities is high and smaller in the smaller cities.
The Chinese new 5 year plan now in year 1
intend to address this and bring in more EV infrastructure to rural China.
In 2020 about a million EV'S were sold in China this year they expect over 6 million.
Sure increase in sales will be dampened by covid, and evergrande realestate collapse , who incidently have moved into the EV space but the trend is very positive, a one month result showing a lower growth from the previous astronomical growth the month before is far too early to call a change in direction in the demand for Lithium batteries in China.
I see LAC in Nevada is now having problems getting Government funding because Ganfeng is a partner.

ALB, Livent, SQM being castigated for investing in Li chemical growth in China.
Hello China is the biggest EV market in the world.
There would be no market if China had not supported this through their 5 year plans.
Ofcourse Ganfeng's CEO Li Lianbing is on Chinese Government Committee's as was/is Tianqi as 5 year plan input comes from related industries.
A really good idea, and great to see Canada has adopted this strategy and is not just consulting with but working with all related parties to build a sustainable EV manufacturing space using local minerals.
Poking negative's at China's success and any company that is/was involved in it is unnecessary, just do better IMO.
Fortunately SYA does not have a major Chinese holder and will be suppling Nth America not China and will be able to take advantage of the Canadian tax breaks, support available to local producers and so will SYA's U.S. and Canadian customers.
Hopefully this rout will make people differentiate one Li project from another.
SYA is sitting in the prime position for future shareprice growth as it was already beaten down, pre the rout, more than likely because it will be feeding a market in the making in Nth America not the established Chinese market, now the uncool market.
