I don't think shorts are "dumb money", however I also don't think that very many short attacks that I have witnessed, materialized into anything. I think shorts have a very limited time horizon where they play in and then they move on.

Lake resources had a short attack, Vulcan had a short attack, Galaxy had a HUGE short attack, PLS had a short attack... in the end the shorts moved on and the companies have done just fine thank you very much. For all of the doom and gloom the shorts seem to think they know, I have not experienced much more than fear mongering from them, people that do not do their research and prove to themselves why they have put their money into a certain stock are going to be vulnerable to selling during these pressure points.
