I don't think they will "disappear" - but it will be another milestone to put pressure on the SP until they re-group and pick their spots again.
Didn't PLS share price rocket in the lead up to and following their first production ?
Yes there will still be shorts, as there are for pretty much every stock, but I think the whole Li industry is being heavily shorted at the moment.
I also think shorts can have a field day with a company in the ASX200 with zero revenue, a heap of SOI and what appears to be some shaky retail holders. Again, when any kind of revenue starts flowing, they will have to adjust and pick their spots as I doubt the SP will be able to be held to the current levels.
