Say, lets assume Tesla hits the target of 2 million cars by end of this year...what about margins?
Selling price has dropped...will cost price should not go down relatively...
this should affect all EV manufacturers throughout the world.
Say Tesla slashes a further 10 percent to its already 20 percent discounted selling price.
And then rest of the EV producers follow suit.. Do you really think that Li prices will remain the same?
And August or October last year, Elon mentioned something about his new battery type which will have close to 5 Kg or so lithium (that is after it has been processed to battery grade)
I see it as a pump. retail gets caught up again and Elon sells/cashes put as usual.
This is just my take.
If the selling price of EV's drop so should price of Lithium.
Lithium is part of the EV or the battery so prices have to move according to prices to EV sales...that is my outlook.
I strongly believe that if Li prices fall, which they will, SYA's refinery objective will be achieved sooner than later.
