The US Department of Justice has sought documents related to Tesla’s self-driving feature as authorities investigate crashes linked with the Autopilot system. US regulators are concerned Tesla’s marketing of the Autopilot features gives the driver a false sense of security. This could get ugly for Tesla in the US Courts - teething problems can cost a bomb in the United States. Red lights could be just the start of the problems.
