The answer should still be 150,000t because you dont want to over-commit capital to your stockpile. Anything more than 150kt is a waste of money. 150kt has been designated as the "buffer" for both the processing plant and mining operations.
So now the mining contractor comes to the party (moreso).

So while accumulating this 150kt on the ROM pad since October 2022, Fournier and Fils will have scratched the haul roads in to the highest concentrated deposits and at the shortest length possible.
So as Dougal said, 150kt gives them 30 days of crushing capacity. So if every machine (particularly face shovels and excavators) broke down at once, F&F have 15 days to get it sorted.
Over the first month of production, F&F will monitor the level of the stockpile. If the stockpile starts disappearing while the operation is in full swing, then they will have to commit more shovels and trucks to the mining script which they will most likely do anyway as they also receive funds for their services AND as the haul roads grow longer while the mining takes the vehicles further away from the processing plant. Their job is to maintain that 150kt of highest concentrate Lithium ore.
