in theory it bodes extremely well. Especially since Sayona hasn't appeared to commit any of its available production to any other off-take partner as yet.
And nothing would beat Lithium spodumene production prices delivered at Hydroxide sales revenue prices. Even with cost of this production being taken into account. Just goes to show how desperate the downstream producers are in getting their hands on the spodumene concentrate inputs. Can't get enough of it to produce the desired end products obviously.

And PLS wouldn't be entertaining it if it didn't mean increased revenues and enhanced bottom line earnings. Question is then who it is that is that desperate and wants it that much to guarantee PLS a slice of the top line sales revenue LESS costs.

Would it be CATL who have just committed to a BIG discount for its customers who sign on for 80% of their needs. And could their cost of producing this Hydroxide be that low for it to actually work with this sort of back to back arrangement with PLS.

Can't help wondering if a little bit of anti competitive .....price leading , price fixing behavior starts to creep into ones mindsets here again. And a little bit of tax avoidance perhaps as well........ Sayona would still have to have a ' Mutually ' benefited customer who would be interested to take on these sorts of terms and who is actually ready themselves to convert that potential spodumene now ......else why do it based on only a preparedness future point of view.
