Anyone know exactly what these sharp closing and re-opening of 150m shorts are? First is Dec 21-Dec 22, Current one is Feb 21 and assuming they re-opened them on Feb 22, will have to wait and see tomorrow. Seems like they are short contracts which must be closed within a certain time period or something cyclical?
Also check the volume on the chart for both days there is no volume to accommodate 150m shorts, so at a minimum 150m of the shorts are being traded off-market meaning no effect on SP, chances are there's more than 150m of the total traded off-market unfortunately. Unless these sharp movements are something else entirely
