As a transplanted Canadian in Australia, I am equally hopeful in both the success of both the Habs & SYA. Tying the prospects of the two together makes a compelling read.
As a BC born Canadian, I’m in the minority I’m sure as a Habs fan - but come on - how could you not be a fan. They are an original 6 team, they’ve won the most cups by a wide margin, they are based in Canada, and look at the history! I used to play goal in my minor hockey days. I grew up idolizing Ken Dryden.
The list of great players is endless: Jacques Plante, Guy Carbonneau, Larry Robinson, Maurice & Henri Richard, Jean Beliveau, etc etc…
I don’t post often, but from one Habs fan to another, enjoy the finals. Here’s to raising their 25th and the hopes of a nation at a time when we need it most! A little faith can go a long way.
