We are one day ahead of the US, so if Dow goes green it usually takes us up to 2 trading days to follow suit given the time difference. Not saying that green in the US means green on the ASX, but it's certainly the case a lot of the time.
SYA is just caught up in the macro environment, the majority of stocks are down. I have a holding in a gold stock which helps somewhat now the dollar is getting hit. Obviously still shorters around, but they'll be shorting most stocks at the moment given the market turbulence
