governments are corrupt, especially western governments, so its not a question of competency, its a question of morality. we have crony capitalism, where mega corps dictate how governments run society. Don't Look Up is a great parody about it.

look at Singapore's government for instance, that's an exemplar model where there is a very active and stringent anti-corruption panel that prevents crony capitalism.

adopting a similar approach would mean business would slow down at first, but then propser with efficiency andwithout the turbulence the western markets face constantly.

our system is easy to exploit and get rich from, that's why most people like it.
