One thing is becoming more appearant by the day is the move by the major EV manufacturers to bring things in house and move away from the outsourcing model, this is being led by Tesla with VW close behind.

This means every part of the process can be run at cost with the profit being achieved when they sell the car , even if the margins get tight they can make up for with volume.
Effectively its like owning the Oilfeild and making the vehicles, originally oil was looking for a use and along came cars but they largely remained separate businesses, now we have the cars looking for oil( Lithium) and why not control both why you can..

Of course that leaves the big question of how SYA who owns a majority share in two known "Oil feilds", the largest in North America, play this going forward. They are certainly starting off in the right direction by concentrating their efforts towards growing the resource base and establishing an early cashflow but the funding requirements are well beyond what SYA can conjure up even with state help.

Moblan is the real opportunity here with what looks likely to be a very considerable deposit of high grade Lithium , free of offtake commitments so open to offers from the likes of VW or anyone else who need large deposits.
We can also add Amos to the mix if that goes ahead, if I remember correctly from what we did glean is that a decision was supposed to made at the end of March or early April...we'll see.

Anyway its well above my pay grade, the potential variables on how this will play out is endless but I've never felt more comfortable about a stock
