I agree, it's not in PLLs interest to fast track it. And at the AGM, it was clear that SYA were going to honour the contract (ie. repay PLL in kind) for their contribution to NAL.
There was also early consideration about whether the Carbonate Plant should be converted to a Hydroxide plant. If Hydroxide is preferred for the longer range EV batteries that the West prefer, then it makes sense that a Hydroxide plant would have been preferable. However that doesn't seem to be up for consideration atm, given the upcoming PFS for a Carbonate plant.
Still Authier is being studied for Hydroxide.
Let's just some some money coming in I say.
