I never though the PLL deal was life of mine.
1. They were committed to building a refinery as soon as the NAL deal took place
2. As soon as the refinery gets going, the deal ends.
3. No matter how good the $900 deal sounded at the time (when spod prices were around $600), nobody in their right mind would commit to that for decades, ignoring inflation, rising production costs etc.
I am pretty sure both parties knew this was only a short term thing.
