According to what I have read, these are the processors who use lepidolite as an input instead of spodumene, the cost of processing lepidolite vs spod is huge and these guys are now losing money for every ton they sell. This should help the price find a zone, if the price goes too high, these guys will come back online and cause the price to retrace, This is but one issue that lepidolite processors face, the 2nd is that their process is very very energy intensive and will not pass any ESG standards (China may not care). Hopefully this will cause a price bounce soon and we can start realizing our full potential.
