Sorry for my own education (I'm inexperienced) - where are you getting the data for the open short positions? From what I'm seeing 0.5% of all shares on issue, greater than 45m shares, were sold short on 17/4 when we had the enormous volume day . If shortman is not displaying open shorts then how does the graph go down - I assumed it goes down when shorts are closed. There was a big drop for instance with LTR when the much documented short squeeze occurred. Also I thought the days to cover was the minimum amount of time for shorts to be closed i.e. open shorts / average trading volume - currently around 18.52% according to Fintel.
