Its all going to be subject to your bias.. but what you said is not exactly correct, PLS were higher than their average volume more so than SYA was.
Add in the context of SYA being the largest lithium gainer in this recent rally and the only shorted stock showing signs of a squeeze, while also having a favourable price point for % gains and its logical that the most traders/investors would pick SYA for a bounce.
The other side of the coin is that its insiders, whichever seems more likely for you.
