One never knows where SP will head tomorrow or even throughout the course of one day and even tougher to predict for next month or next year.
Spec stocks are more prone to fluctuations but even good companies with earnings history have periods of being in the doghouse. In both cases when they fall they equally have a chance to come back and sometimes come back stronger - in time.

The PLL buy-in was unexpected and judging by the resultant jump in SP it must have been judged by the market as a good positive announcement. Since then, a lull in proceedings but potentially another such like announcement may have another good market reaction and along with it a reversal of the slowly retreating SP and perhaps reaching higher then the last wave.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but it would be more of a gamble if one bought in to make a quick gain - it can work the other way and also lose - if you're time frame is too narrow. I guess we all have differing views -some more right than others.
