One aspect of future Magnis plans that seems very attractive for the company long term is the indication from Frank that the company will be expanding its supply chain to lock in supply of critical resources that will be used in the manufacturing of cells at IM3NY and beyond.
I suspect the following:
- Partial minority ownership in an upstarting lithium mine (without naming names).
- Partial ownership in a cathode materials mine (more likely - which synergises very well with C4Vs cathode tech).
This is a very sound strategy that many big players such as panasonic are doing.
