personally i don't see gen 3 making it so i would say you are correct. gen 3 is very niche right now for racing cars and aircraft but even so they may hold out for ssd. also imo, i think they HAVE these ready to go but are holding back to meet the market. much like what intel does.

some perspective. im3ny is mostly about stationary storage esp gen 1,2 - its not as sexy as EV but its huge. and a lot more stable. less risk averse, better client retention.
