Andrew’s strategy is drill-bit driven. I don’t blame him, it’s his area of expertise. But he hasn’t been savvy enough to get people onto the board who can provide complementary skill sets.

It might still work out, helped by a soaring gold price. But the last two years have been a missed opportunity, as far as I’m concerned.

I still hold but have redeployed capital that could have gone into GBR into companies that see the share price as the primary indicator of success.

Still time for me to eat serious humble pie, but why has it taken so long for GBR to even start conversations about monetising assets?
