When I first started to invest in the stock market , ..my goals was fairly modest . I had done
a lot of reading into a range of topics , such as fundamental , technicals analysis , read a few
books etc.... I remember one quote saying be wary of any company names that sounded fancy
and hyped , just stuck with me .... lol ...Alexium...?
My goals as I said were modest , and with the overload of information on how to play the
market , I decided that I was out of my depth and became a fundamentalist and a sit and hold
type investor , which worked fine and superceeded all my expectations , although I did have a
couple of hiccups along the way..... But the market changes you , your perceptions and your
expectations , a wrong turn , quickly reins you in and heightens your fears and then you
slowly start changing into a short term to medium term investor as opposed to a long term
investors , the risks holding for the long term would seem to be against you being successful.
Better to take reasonable profit...imo
Personally , I think that to make the right call , to sell or hold
is almost impossible , ...inevitably a company , on the back of positive news , the SP will overshoot
and the price becomes attractive and the question comes into play , sell or hold ..... is there a wrong
decision either way .... no , I'm training my children to accept a reasonable profit and to pat
themselves on the back for their decision ... The market is illogical.... Yojee was a company i had
invested in , bought in at 2.3c , sold at 10c ... it went on to 30c , my thinking was that
the SP was overvalued and that revenues will be low , they reported revenue for sept quater 2017
of $149000 , well i was right ...but the market still valued them around the 20-25c...lol .
Lbt was another....in @ 7c ....could've got $1 plus , ....sold on the way down @ 35c ...I personally
think that was a bad decision not to sell @$1... but still made a decent profit ...and my journey
continues... Tried to short term trade , and day trading , but I've settled into a medium term trader ,
love buying stocks with a positive outcome due in a year or so ..... this is not a recommendation ,
but for me one such stock is Senetas .....imo
Having said all that , Alexium is a conundrum .... the thinest thread i can hang on to.. is what
some have mentioned and as have Alexium themselves about being watched by competitors
and that they have to be restrictive in what they release....if this is not the case then I can only
see that regulatory framework will lead the SP.. and we will likely see a return to higher SP 's
in two years ....imo....cheers GLTA
