Taken from the announcement:
" Imugene’s MD and CEO, Ms Leslie Chong said “we are delighted to be able to complete the acquisition of
Vaxinia Pty Ltd and City of Hope licence of such a promising next generation oncolytic virus in a competitive..."
Giving the words of the announcement their literal meaning "able to complete" conveys that the company now is authorised to proceed and complete the transaction. On this basis while it is difficult to imagine circumstances which would not see the acquisition completed until the vote at the meeting the company would not have had legal standing to execute the deal and complete the acquisition. A further notice to shareholders once the paper work has been completed would be reasonable.
