Lots of companies developing their on methods for hydroxide and carbonate production.

It seems like it's something that hadn't been worked on for years but appears to be relatively easier now days to be able to create new methods given advances in technology and the spike in lithium in 2016-17 brought the alternatives out of the word work.

Also qualification needs to be done first and far out it's taking a long time... you would have thought the initial desktop plant would have sufficed then all you had to do was prove you can replicate the upscaling.

We just need some party to be brought on board as an actual source of finance or someone who says "this hydroxide is great" and LPD will finally move forward. I don't think BASF have said that yet, hence only the MOU.
