Agreed.
At minimum, a trial to go from R&D to FDA approval in the biotech field takes MINIMUM 6 years and that would be considered appropriately fast.
IHL, fortunately for us, don’t need to extend our trials that far into the future nor (I believe) will it take 6+ years from start to finish to see FDA approval.
Perhaps some might even ask why I’d think so - fair question.
Let’s start with the multi-use drug, IHL-675A:
• Components: Cannabidiol (CBD) and Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ
analreadyregisteredpharmaceutical for over 70 years).
Quoted from the 27th July 2021 announcement: ”…IHL-675A originated from
historicalstudies that we are entitled to use in the new drug application”.
IHL-42X:
Components: Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Acetazolamide (
analreadyregisteredpharmaceutical for over 20 years and not subject to patent restrictions - an off-patent drug).
IHL-216A:
Components: Cannabidiol (CBD) and Isoflurane (
an already registered pharmaceutical for over 40 years)
PSI-GAD:
Components: Psilocybin - During the 60’s, investigation into psilocybin commenced but due to the growth in the general publics personal substance abuse there was a call to ban the “drug” shortly after. After a 40 year ban and scheduling the substance as illegal, some part is the USA had lifted the ban from illegal to legal and R&D into psilocybin recommenced in the early 2000’s.
CBD has been approved by the TGA since earlier this year (2021), though CBD approval is subject to certain oils that have received prescription approval only. since the FDA does recognise its benefits though is being cautious with CBD approval, it has not yet been able to approval any CBD oils as of yet. However, we can see many benefits to CBD oil if you DYOR and in my opinion it’s only a matter of time being the FDA grants approval similar to our very own TGA here in Australia.
My point is, due to some drugs already being registered and known to the FDA, comprehensive clinical work only needs to be conducted to show efficacy of the combined components for some of our drugs and as far as PSI-GAD is concerned (and as far as I’m aware) IHL need only to demonstrate that micro-dosing psilocybin along with therapy does demonstrate to work and will work. (Check out the advancement with MInd Med. They’re not fluffing around with psilocybin… IMO we won’t be required to undergo a full comprehensive clinical trial (not saying IHL are taking shortcuts) since historical data is already available on already approved drugs, reducing the timeframe to see IHL-675A, IHL-42X, IHL126A and possibly PSI-GAD be approved sooner than the typical 6 years at minimum timeframe. There are also opportunities to fast track our drugs to market, so again, time reduced.
We just need to hold patience. As
@Badvet73 said, maybe IHL is not for you. Try a different sector. Mining or IT perhaps? The timeframe for results are much quicker however the technology can be outdated within a blink of an eye and minerals can’t be IP protected. It’s first, in first served.
i know there’s a few Buffett heads on this forum and Buffett continues to say “hold” which requires patience. So consider understanding how the sector works before arguing that the BOD hasn’t met expectations or aren’t delivering or something must have gone wrong… all of which is unhealthy speculation and you’re only hurting your investment. To date, we have a top shareholder still showing us their presence on these threads. I’d take that as a positive indication that things are >possibly< doing (to say the least) OK in the background. There’s been no media attention to say things have turned sour, there’s been no direct announcement from the BOD to suggest things have gone sour either. Plus we have some great and committed investigators on these threads to!
Anyway, I’ve been posting more than usual. Time for me to sit back and remain in suspense.
