My bad. I didn’t explain my question properly. Another attempt:

When you sell for a profit it is not a wash trade. My question is when you book a loss when SP has dropped and buy back at a lower point after a week or a month. That may intentionally or not offset profits elsewhere it given the one week/ month gap would it still be deemed a wash trade if there is no direct link like an option or transfer between self-controlled entities/ accounts?
