an ethical way also, everyone gets placebo and active...unlike some trials where you don't necessarily get the benefits. I had a story from a trial 10 years ago when I had a heart attack and was stented, they offered a trial new stent with eluate that improved outcomes for scar tissue. it was a multi year trial and I subsequently found out I had been one of the lucky ones on this new addition to procedure, the long and short being trial showed very positive outcome for those who had the actual treatment. Unfortunately those on placebo group missed out...
