The results are not bad per se, but there are clear issues that are only reconcilable with access to more than a press release, which is obviously all that will be provided. The numbers got weirdly held up as some proof that CPAP was finished when there was zero reason to think that, and then obviously people were unable to accept anything else.

Broadly, the participant numbers are not actually fantastic, despite the crossover nature. It's still fundamentally a problem of small numbers amplifying results, especally given these studies are always designed to be as good as possible for the product. The actual endpoints were also not ideal, which is obviously why the percentage decreases were given top billing.

I would expect the next trial to look more broadly at other measurements (and obviously with more people but that one is always true of these initial studies)
