At first glance this does appear concerning and whilst it doesn't sound great, I am assuming that the FDA's view on CBD as a supplement could be different from their view on CBD as a medicine, in the same way that Oxycontin is probably not approved by the FDA as something that you can mix with your energy drinks, but is approved by the FDA to treat acute severe pain.

Interestingly, they have kicked it back congress to find a solution, recognising that this is a rapidly growing industry and there is only so long that they can all sit and do nothing.

For the record, I think CBD should be approved as a supplement - in my experience it is an excellent substitute for opiod based medication - it achieves the same outcome but doesn't stuff your system up (again - in my experience).

Given I hold a fair chunk of IHL shares, I hope the above perspective is the right one. Over the next few months I suspect it will become increasingly clear as we look to progress our various programs through the FDA approval process.

Good luck everyone - hoping 2023 is significantly better than the one we just exited.

As you correctly stated, this decision concerns dietary supplements and food additives.

IHL is operating in a regulated pharmaceutical environment using molecules that have already received FDA approval.
