well i don't know how many noticed but today is a day to mark in your calendar and revisit in the months ahead....
today inflation flipped from demand pull driven to cost push driven....essentially it indicates the impetus of the inflation drivers has gone beyond the reach of monetary policy.....interest rate hikes will continue to be the lever pulled but will be ineffective and will not produce the required deflationary outcome......
cost push is here and replaces demand pull = inflation continuing = debt laden governments and instability across markets continuing in the near term
this aligns with the debate going on in the US about buybacks to create bond market liquidity essentially to boost demand

what does that mean ?

its the start of quantitative easing - as clear as spring follows winter these are the policies that will appear over the next 6 /12 months - instability in markets must be curbed and cost push left without QE would free inflation up again decimate markets....US treasury and the fed won't let that happen ...( simply using interest rate rises will make it worse from here)

and surprise surprise this aligns with the third year ( 2nd half ) of the US election cycle.....
