So what if your waiting means you forgo buying those 100,000 shares because an announcement causes the price to rerate from 10c to $1 at open (or by any amount, it's irrelevant)? It is easy to say you should've bought at another price in hindsight, but you can't guarantee that it will ever go to your target price. For me, when it comes to a stock I'm bullish on, I prefer to be in at a slightly higher price than not at all. Yes the difference between 10 and 10.5 is large, it's literally 5%, however the difference between 95,000 shares and none at all is much bigger
