Spot on. Folks have every right to be nervous for precisely that reason. I just think it would be grand if people said that, instead of displacing their anxiety onto a distorted perception of management.
I'm nervous about this and more - the world conditions that have set the stage for our current rocky SP road are intrinsically anxiety-inducing. Let's recognize that, own it and embrace it. Maybe if we can accept the world is experiencing a difficult passage, it can ease some of the difficulties some of us are experiencing in our more specific personal situations.
Of course in order to do this, it helps to actually care about more than just one's own direct interests. Not everyone is capable of that, or willing to make progress in that arena. I like to think the world helps us balance out our shortcomings by gently slapping us (and sometimes less gently if we ignore it for too long) when we become too self-absorbed.
