Ive also called Automic and couldnt get a clear answer as to whether or not I have to place my shares with another broker for the transfer to take place.

i may have misread urs but if u r talking about the AUSTRALIAN listed IHL then it makes no difference which broker that they r with - they are gettin dissolved..... they will NOT exist anywhere once cancelled.

the new yank shares will exist at the US registry and u will have to do "paperwork" to get them moved to anywhere..... think about it as they will be Issuer Sponsored SRN at the US registry and there will be process to get them Broker Sponsored HIN and at a "broker" of ur choice. (note: there is no SRN in yankeeland nor HIN blah blah.... and the US registry can also sell them for ya blah blah....... just for ur understanding of the process that is coming up as IHL are being cancelled here)
