Kinda. I believe the W-8BEN is for individuals and the W-8BEN-E is for companies, trusts and SMSF. Macquarie has a few good guides to fill them out

I think if you don't fill it out you could be stung with more tax. These forms limit the tax, due to a tax treaty between the US and Oz.
