You are right in saying Australian banks will not accept a USA cheque.
Perhaps you could try contacting Bank of America or one of the larger USA banks that have branches in Australia who may convert for a fee. If it succeeds, or if you find an Australian Incannex person please let me know. I have just put in the paperwork to sell all of my holding to Computershare US. What a useless mess they are. Incannex management seem no better. Their attitude seems to be they couldn't a stuff about the shareholders problems in this re-domicile drama.
I specifically requested no cheque on settlement but to send direct to my bank by SWIFTCODE.
