So inflammation is a 'repair' / healing response against foreign and potentially invading agents - covid 19 as we know as well as all others - immune cells are released recruited to the site of 'injury' or intrusion - resulting in inflammation through the release of cytokines (potentially the key 5 but specifically identified IL 6 which is one of these) which we know is also an offending inflammatory agent in TBI and septic associated Ards.

Psychedelics are now being recognised for their anti inflammatory effect by initiating a well known serotonin receptor 5-HT2A.
By activating this receptor it is theorised and believed the response will be an alleviated and rapidly reduced depression, with a return to healthy network normalcy. (central nervous system normalcy as well as localised normalcy)

This is followed by observed reduced levels of inflammatory cytokine IL 6 which potentially goes some way to understanding the alleviated depressive state found in psychedelic treatments. IL 6 is associated with and symptomatic of depressive disorders.

Imagine for a minute what the potential in the other mentioned disorders and afflictions may well prove to be with these potential psychedelic treatments, huge I would think.

So following on from this, I know that research points to psychedelics driving down IL-6 and being of great benefit in those with depressive disorders but it warrants investigation as to whether IHL-675A may have a similar impact upon depression.

IHL-675A appears to be an inflammation killer but performed exceptionally well against IL-6

We may have a treatment for depression on our hands here as well and that's before we delve into the psychedelics
