Hi all,
I thing that I have discovered on my investing journey is:
it doesn’t matter how clever you are; how clever you think you are; how much research you do; how much you listen to the advice of experts; and, how exceptional the company’s fundamentals are, there are no guarantees in the investing world. I have learned this lesson the hard way, as I am sure many others have.
You can certainly mitigate many risks by performing your due diligence, but never eliminate all risks.
The harsh reality is that “luck” still plays a very important role.
One bit of advice I was given a long time ago is “don’t invest with money you cannot afford to lose”. This takes much of the angst out of your investment decisions.
Happy investing and go IHL!
