@Signbit Now that is a very logical angle; If you have a bundle of heads and oppies & selling the heads at anything above the 1c Oppie price of course makes sense .... if you did NOT want to increase exposure ...... I had sort of missed that logic above.

Some people are free-carrying the options, means that they sold few at higher prices in the past and took their capital off the table, so the options they currently hold either cost them 0 cents or even minus (technically - they’re already in profit).
So in these cases - now that there’s no buyer for their options - instead of letting those lapse, they would convert them into heads and keep them to sell higher in the future and pocket more profit...
