Not a silly question.
A few of us have been holding for years and convincing ourselves that there was(is) some good scientific data within the original 2a results from back in 2017. However most of us acknowledged that the SP movement would be reliant on the binary (good/bad) next round of results. For me, the "binary" scenario has been somewhat removed with the good results of FSGS. I understand that DXB will go to Phase 3 on FSGS regardless of the DKD results, so the SP should hold up long term.
That being said, the original good 2a results from 2017, plus the positive FSGS result would appear to bode well for DKD. So there is some rational behind the current level of optimism around DXB. I don't feel it's unwarranted herd mentality.
Time will tell.
