.. and the Govt passes laws that gives them the power to raid journalists homes and arrest them for exposing Govt malfeasance.
Note the ongoing case of the lawyer and his client charged because they exposed the Howard Govt phone tapping the East Timor Govt to swindle them out of a fair deal on developing their oil and gas resources for the benefit of their Big Oil mates. Also the recent raids on a NewsCorp journalist's home and the ABC to prevent disclosure of information that might reflect badly on their government.
