From an old article 2019 - but gives a bit of background on Tv2Namibia:
The International e-Sport Federation has reintroduced the Dota 2 online game to this year's 11th e-sport World Championship, which will be held in Seoul, South Korea from the 11th to the 15th of December 2019.
As part of the build-up and preparation for the World Champs, the Namibian Electronic Sports Association (NESA) will be hosting the second Fifa, Tekken and Dota 2 qualifiers.
NBC sport spoke to the vice president of NESA, Flip de Bruyn, who shed more light on the latest statistics surrounding Dota 2.
“The IESF has decided to change from League of Legends to Dota 2, but in terms of statistics you have about 30 million active players for league of legends and only 2.3million active players for Dota 2” De Bruyn explained.
The International e-Sport Federation introduced Dota 2, looking at licenses, the players’ pool, locations, reach, countries participation and the popularity of the game in the e-sport system.
In more news, NESA has also established a new partnership with an online streaming platform run by its founder Quintin Els. It is called TV2 Namibia and builds on the existing TV2 Africa to create content for all their gaming tournaments.
“We created an online content platform, which is called TV2 Africa. Within that content platform, there's a channel called TV2 Namibia - therein we concentrate on Namibian sport” Els said.
The second qualifying tournament will be held on the 8th and 15th of June at Bauern Stube restaurant in Windhoek.
