There are so many so-called new technologies being pursued to try and topple the traditional Li-ion battery, yet none have succeeded in getting to market, most still can't overcome their inherent problems despite years of experimentation.
Even if the graphite component in EV batteries is reduced over years or even made redundant, it won't be under about a decade according to battery manufacturers and investors in the graphite space. Even the worse case scenario wouldn't be a show stopper for BEM.
Its important to understand that graphite has a myriad of applications. BEM is in the fortunate position of having quality graphite that qualifies for ALL applications and we now have supply chains into the EU, Asia and the US. Becoming a truly vertically-integrated business with its own expandable graphite plant is a stroke of genius especially given our stage of development with Maniry. It's establishing a cashflow stream for the company requiring minimal CAPEX even before we get our graphite mine into production.
The ongoing EV hype and the fact that graphite is on the critical minerals list will keep BEM on traders' radar and those with a longer view accumulating at these levels, IMO.![]()
