@cchhrriiss I am beginning to believe that if the company and Burton were worth buying by a cashed up miner we would have heard by now. If I’m not mistaken New Hope flogged it off for the cost of the environmental bond $50 million. They didn’t see value in continuing. I don’t believe New Hope were the first owners?
Reading the quarterly they have a mix of below premium coking coal and sub par thermal coal. The yield is less than 70%. This doesn’t seem like a high grade resource that many of the bigger players mine. Contact operated at only 2.5 million tonnes would be more of a hassle than other better quality coal resources. A fall in headline prices will hurt more when already selling lower quality coal. A cashed up buyer would probably be looking at better resources even if it costs more than this company IMHO.
