    Tesla and Volkswagen are already using them is my understanding. Most new Tesla's will have them, Volkswagen is increasing their usage.

    Much safer (LiFePO4 don't explode) and far cheaper battery chemistry. No nickel or cobalt means no "blood" commodities.

    If you buy a new battery for your home / boat / caravan you are crazy if you choose lithium ion over LiFePO4.
