There is a possibility that investors keeping an eye on the US govt EV tax credit legislation can see that the govt may not budge on the need for battery minerals processing either in the US or FTA countries for their EV's to qualify. These EV rebates are very lucrative per vehicle but worthless if using Chinese processed Graphite and other battery minerals. The Legacy Auto companies are trying hard to get it changed to give them some time however so far the govt is holding firm. If that stipulation remains EGR with it's green processing ability would certainly garner plenty of interest from all EV manufacturers in the US.
One thing is certain. This legislation has shown just how little battery mineral processing there is outside China and just how serious the US is in changing that. Just highlighting that unsustainable reality in legislation is huge. Processing is the battery bottleneck going forward however Western battery processing and lack thereof has now been brought squarely into focus.
