Interesting Twitter(X) post of unknown accuracy (but no reason to suspect its not accurate). With possible very relaxed environmental controls, the Chinese market is brining synthetic graphite to the market at a price point meaning it gets all the market share growth.
A key element around western built batteries for EV's will be how acceptable (or not) synthetic graphite will be given its higher carbon footprint.
