I don't know about anybody else, but the idea of supplying graphite to a US-based downstream facility to produce PSG to be sold to a Chinese battery cathode / anode manufacturer completely has me bamboozled!

Why in the "name of God" would the structures ever be provided by the US Govt to facilitate such a scenario? Is it simply a case of short-term economic trade trumps the supposed long-term economic trade grand plan. It seems to me to be a total contradiction in terms to be proposing such supply chains into China in light of China's export restrictions of graphite out of China.

Surely, by the time the US has established downstream processing of anode material, it will have developed and constructed some or most of the 30 gigafactories in planninng and/or development? The concept of selling graphite to the Chinese when we need to compete with the most dominant nation in the field just seems ludicrous to me. Or Is it that the only way for EV1 to make inroads is to negotiated with the Chinese? Just seems so paradoxical to me!
