I'm not sure if its somehow related, but there was a rather strong surge in lithium futures in the afternoon. The July contract which has the most volume jumped from +1% to a peak of +6.5% and finished up 5.65% for the day. Someone's taking a renewed interest in Lithium. If more lithium is being used in batteries, so is more graphite. Clearly not EGR's because its not producing any yet, but positive sentiment towards batteries demand would help.
